About the Songs

The following notes describe the tracks listed in the "Music @ SoundSoft" Player. These are only some of the songs that have been recorded, that that "showcase" the studio's quality, capabilities and progress over the years. Joyride - Sunday In September
The fourth track of the band's first 4 track EP and demo. Recorded from March - July 2004.

Joyride - My Confession
Recorded as part of the same EP as Sunday In September, this track is a lot different in style and in instrumentation than any other Joyride tune. Strings and Piano are both sampled using Reason, played by Jose, the band's guitarist, while the Djembe was played by Clint.

My Shameless Design - I'll Be Glad
Recording completed in May of 2004. This is in a pre-master state.

Redirected - Similar & Yourself
Recorded in 2002 - 2003, mainly "for fun" . All insturments performed by Lorenzo Castelli, vocals by Jeni Szelag. Electronic Drums sounds came from the Roland TD-7 while all other synths used a Native Instruments PRO-53. Guitar distortion used a really bad simulator plugin and never ended up getting redone.

The Pulse - King Of Hearts
Demo song recorded 2004.

Victoria - Greatest Gift
This single was recorded, mixed and mastered in one complete day. Piano and strings are again sampled through reason. Bass, acoustic guitar and MIDI: Lorenzo Castelli. Drums: Clint Alves

Joyride - A Flicker Of Hope & Hot Pianos and Third Degree Burns
These two songs make up a second EP recorded here at SoundSoft from May - July 2006. The band recorded other material at other studios, since their first EP, but prefered to come back to SoundSoft. Instrumentation was recorded quite differently as new mic'ing techniques were used, creating a greater sense of depth in the guitar and drum tracks. Also, more equipment has been added since the first EP as well.

Jeni Szelag - I Thought About You & I Should Care
These are the most recent recordings done at SoundSoft. Completed in aprox. 15 hours over two evenings. Tracking was done completely live off the floor in one evening and mixed in another evening. This was more of a rush recording as it was required for a demo due the following week.

Lorenzo Castelli's Recital - My Shining Hour
A track taken from Lorenzo Castelli's Graduation Recital DVD. Recorded live at Mohawk College in April 2008.

Christopher Charles - Thank You
Another live recording taken from Chris' Live at the Westside Theatre album which was released in May of 2008. However, this track is not released on the CD. Enjoy it!
